The comprehensive range of products available for the shoe repair market was started by F. Ball and Co Ltd back in 1886. Now under the banner of Caswell Adhesives who have dealt with the shoe manufacturers for a similar period of time, the whole of the shoe trade is serviced. Our combined product range consists not just of adhesives, but also cork bottom filler, leather stretch, neatsfoot oil, edging inks and stains, and waxes for burnishing and polishing. Our trade names are well known to the industry and often raise a smile in conversation, even getting a mention on the radio: Gripsotite, Gripso, Gozin, Kumzof, and Glo-fake. Fairly recently we added to our range, IVI Tacks & Nails. The company is fully committed to the shoe industry and a brand new polyurethane adhesive, developed specifically by Caswell for the repair market, which was launched in January 2004 is also now being used in the manufacturing market.

As members of SATRA, we keep up-to-date with developments in the shoe manufacturing industry. We use SATRA to conduct independent adhesive bond tests to ensure we meet the highest standards of quality. In addition, for all new product developments we enlist assistance from members of the Society of Master Shoe Repairers Association. Their input during product testing has always proved invaluable and helps us to achieve successful product launches.
