About Caswell Adhesives
Caswell manufacture and supply a comprehensive range of
tailor made adhesives for a wide range of industries, both
in the U.K. and overseas.
Established in London in 1890, our family owned independent
company is now strategically based in Central England where
we can quickly service our customers from a modern manufacturing
unit in Corby, Northamptonshire.
In 2001, Caswell was acquired by F. Ball and Co., Ltd.,
which was itself founded in 1886. Today the combined business
is one of the UK's largest and most successful independent
adhesives manufacturers. Both companies have a reputation
for reliability, customer focus, technology leadership and
service excellence.
Quality Adhesives
Once proven and accepted, an adhesive formulation
depends on the consistency of supply. At Caswell, quality is
paramount. We were one of the first adhesives companies to
register to ISO 9001, covering not only the manufacture, but
also the design and development of new products. Every batch
is tested before despatch, with retained samples ensuring total
traceability of all manufactured products. Considerable investment
is made in both quality and safety matters. In December 2003
we attained the ISO9001:2000 Quality Accreditation.

personnel are all highly qualified and experienced within the adhesives
industry. All our staff are fully trained to ensure that the adhesives
offered are specifically developed to meet individual requirements
in terms of quality, performance and cost. Our ability to overcome
production oriented difficulties as well as complicated bonding
problems has enhanced our reputation as the leading independent
adhesives manufacturer.

found in many diverse

the footwear, automotive, packaging, paper
converting, filters, product assembly,
roofing, construction, abrasives,
furniture and upholstery industries.
Back in the early
1920's Caswell began to
develop solvent based footwear adhesives
and today we are the market leader.
Our solvent based contact adhesives
became renowned for reliability and quality
and today they are supplied to many of the
above industries. From the early 1990's we
accelerated our research into water based
and hot melt alternatives to solvent based
products. Today we offer a full range of
adhesive types. That decision, many
years ago, to diversify into alternative safer
adhesive technologies has paid dividends
as we have won over many new customers,
especially as a result of being able to meet
ongoing challenges in ever tightening
health, safety and environmental
legislation.
